So, my teacher is making me do assignments that i'm terrible at and i'm struggling to work. How am I supposed to convey my personality through writing when I don't have a p e r s o n a l i t y. Also I really dislike talking about myself, i'd rather everything be straight forward and point form, that way It's less work. Because, if I can find a lazy way to get a good mark, i'm going to take the easiest route to finish my work. But of course, this isn't easy for me cause I have to talk about myself (ew). My blog post was completed and handed in on time, but, barely. Last year I had trouble getting assignments in on time, most of the time i'd completely forget about their existence, until my mother would get email's home about the *10* or such missing assignments. I like to believe a lot of it is because of my A.D.D, even though my mother makes sure that I don't use that as an excuse (oops).
Like, I've started on my Academy Smart goal, doing well. So far I've improvised an entire song, but my personal goal I've decided to take more time to plan. Because I'm so bad at writing and i'm stressed because I can't do anything right
For me, my SMART goals are still fitting those handy dandy requirements, some adjustments i'm trying to make are to do more research to help the process of my personal goal. And to try an get more practice time on the drums!
I really hope there is enough detail in my SMART goal to guide me until February, And I think there is, so until my SMART goal begins to screw me up, I think I have enough details.
My second S.M.A.R.T goal: To learn how to improvise on the drums.
S: Specific: I know what I need to do, and how I need to do it. First, I have to improvise my own drumming for the two other songs that I haven't yet learned, All of me and Stay with me. Then I'll learn how to do different things, just try to improve my skills. M: Measurable: I'll be able to track my progress. I'll be able to track my progress by constantly updating my blog, as well as keeping my Video vlog updates on time, explaining how I've specifically improved. A: Attainable: If I work hard enough, I can achieve this. This is something I've already began to achieve, because of my progress improvising in 4/4 time. Nothing about this specific goal seems out of my abilities. R: Reasonable: This isn't anything impossible. This goal is incredibly reasonable, I personally don't think i'm biting off more than I can chew or taking on to much or to little. My goal has a medium difficulty and will be a little bit challenging, but not to much. T: Timely: My time frame is reasonable, and gives me enough time to achieve my goal. My End-Of January cutoff gives me plenty time to practice and perfect my improvisations. It's a reasonable time frame, because not only does it give me time to learn drums, but possibly learn other instrument's like Bass Guitar.
My first S.M.A.R.T goal: Finish planning, story boarding, and write a perfect paralogue for "Honey Honey" (original story with a working title) by the January Deadline! S: Specific. I know what I need to do, and how I need to do it. I need to finish story boarding and writing a first chapter for "Honey Honey (working title). Make sure that not only that it's good enough to draw readers in BUT also uses intelligent word choices and is descriptive enough to have a decent length to it. The story itself has to be solidified, and I need to put certain event's in order, to make an interesting story-telling method out of the simplicity of the Original story. M: Measurable. I'll be able to track my progress. I can easily track my progress on this goal by constantly updating my blog. The progress I make will be tracked, and i'll be making definite progress with my story. A: Attainable. If I work hard enough, I can achieve this. I usually have a difficult time reaching my goals or finishing projects. But because this is now interfering with school, i'm going to make sure that I accomplish my goals. R: Reasonable. This isn't anything impossible. The goal that I have chosen to try and achieve is incredibly realistic, it isn't necessarily "too easy" because this will be challenging for me. This is something that if I work hard enough, will be able to be accomplished. T: Timely. My time frame is reasonable, and gives me enough time to achieve my goal. For our time frame, for both our Academy and Personal goals, we have and end-of-January time frame. I think that this is a very good timeframe for both my Book Goal and my Drum Goal. I find it very improbable to not have my goals finished by the deadline.
